Potential of Serbia's economy presented at Business Forum in Salonika

Serbia wants to be recognized as a country of investment opportunities and market economy, with the economy sector that is competitive enough to follow European and global trends, the Serbian Chamber of Commerce cited on its website Vice Chairman Miroslav Miletic as saying at the two-day Business Forum in Salonika, which was held March 17 and 18.
The SCC is ready to provide support to businessmen from the EU and the rest of the world to take more active part in the economic life of our country, Miletic stressed and added that the SCC was particularly active in backing the economy of Serbia in foreign markets and encouraging the internationalization of business, "in which we use the services of international chamber associations that we are a member of, agreements signed with chambers of commerce around the world, as well as our worldwide network of regional offices".

Greece is a traditionally very important partner to Serbia in economic and political terms, both bilaterally and as part of regional cooperation. From the perspective of businessmen, bilateral economic cooperation can not and must not be decelerated by the consequences of the global economic and financial crisis, said Miletic.

According to him, the trade between Serbia and Greece in 2015 totaled USD 392.53 million with imports accounting for 240.89 million and exports for 151.64 million US dollars.
