Postal company of Austria bought Belgrade-based "City Expres"

Austrian postal company has announced that it took over courier company "City Expres" from Belgrade.

With the takeover of that company, Austrian postal company entered the courier market of Serbia and Montenegro and strengthened its presence in central and southeast Europe. The purchase price has not been revealed yet.

"City Expres" was founded in 2002, it covers half of Serbian market and it will distribute more than 2m domestic consignments this year and have total turnover of about 10m EUR.

Main activity of the company is collecting, transportation and delivery of packages, and distribution network of "City Expres" consists of 18 regional centers situated in Belgrade, Subotica, Zrenjanin, Novi Sad, Šabac, Valjevo, Čačak, Užice, Kraljevo, Kragujevac, Kruševac, Novi Pazar, Leskovac, Vladičin Han, Niš, Bor, Jagodina and Velika Plana.

Except in Serbia, Austrian postal company also have branch offices in Slovakia, Croatia and Hungary in the region of central and southeast Europe.
