Truck production is booming in Russia

At the same time, production of trucks (including the chassis, but without a tipper) soared 42.7% - to 11,600 units in the reporting period, whereas body manufacture grew as much as 75% year-on-year, to 24,200 units, the Russian news agency Tass cited the country's statistical agency Rostat as announcing in a release.

Bus production was increased by 6.7% in February y-o-y, to 2,600 vehicles, Rostat's release reads.

Companies Avtovaz and Kamaz are the largest manufacturer of vehicles and trucks in Russia, Tass adds.
