Alfa plam expands production capacity - Jobs for 100 workers in Surdulica

(Dragan Stevanovic on a visit to Alfa plam) Due to an increased demand, Vranje-based Alfa plam is going to expand its production capacity in Surdulica, where this company will be producing boilers for heating appliances. Dragan Stevanovic, the state secretary in the Ministry of Economy of Serbia, visited the site in Surdulica today where 3,000 square meters of Alfa plam facilities are under reconstruction, while additional 2,000 square meters are under construction and will feature cutting-edge equipment once completed, such as laser cutting machines, dyehouse and 50 welding booths.
As the ministry announced, Stevanovic said on that occasion that the state was supporting that investment both financially and administratively, reminding that the Investment Law had been passed in 2015, and so had a regulation in 2016 that allowed domestic companies to exercise their right to investment incentives.

- I am particularly happy that Alfa plam has recognized a potential in Surdulica and decided to implement its EUR 1 million investment in, none other than, this municipality. Additional 100 jobs mean a lot to Surdulica, which is why the country is ready to cooperate and help the implementation of this project - said Stevanovic.

Alfa plam is a leading manufacturer of heating appliances in Serbia and Southeast Europe in terms of production volumes, sales and quality, and it is also among the top five in Europe. Its total annual production exceeds 171,000 units. Product portfolio is constantly expanding, in line with market needs, and new technologies are introduced with the aim of enhancing the quality of product design. All products are appropiately attested both locally and abroad, which means that the company fully meets strict requirements for export to the EU.
Alfa plam markets its products in Serbia (about 35%) and Europe (about 65%). Its primary export markets are former Yugoslav republics (Bosnia-Herzegovina, Macedonia, Montenegro, Slovenia, and Croatia), Germany, Italy, Austria, Romania, Poland, and Chile. The company currently employs about 780 workers.
