Serbian government and the City of Belgrade is likely to decrease the price of PKB from EUR 154 to 91 m, which is 30% of the company market value, Blic finds out. At the previous tender for the sale of Poljoprivredni kombinat Beograd(Agricultural combine Beograd) no one answered, although the price has already been cut to 51%.

The owner of meat industry Matijevic Petar Matijevic and owner of MK Group, Miodrag Kostic, have recently set up a consortium to buy PKB.

- We will buy PKB only if the price decreases and becomes acceptable. The state should have in mind that there has been a drastic decline in agricultural products last year and that there is a risk of investment in this area – Matijevic says.

While the price is high for investors, employees think the company is selling at low price and illegally.

At the same time, the minister of economy Zeljko Sertic said the Government is considering a new call and announces new estimation of PKB.
