Working zone Rumska petlja steps into regime of Free zone Sabac

Ruma municipal council accepted the request with an explanation that free zone enable savings in business, enable vacancies and represent a means for attracting investments.

- We gave our consent for complete Block 2 in the working zone "Rumska petlja" to step into Free Zone Sabac. Currently, we do not have option to get the status of a free customs zone, primarily due to river traffic and ports, and therefore we decided that Block 2 should become a part of customs free zone of Sabac. We believe this can motivate investors to opt for construction of its production facilities in our working zone - Sladjan Mancic, mayor of Ruma, explains.

He mentions he has already had a meeting with an investor interested in taking advantage of using benefits in free zone adding that it is a great chance that Block 2 becomes a part of Rumska petlja.
