Cooperation between UBS and IFC - New financial products for small and medium-sized enterprises

Small and medium-sized enterprises represent the bloodstream of economy and can encourage the creation of new jobs, and the Year of Entrepreneurship, as the year 2016 was declared by the Government, is an opportunity to pay special attention to this sector, it was assessed today at a conference dedicated to banking innovations for SMEs.
Veroljub Dugalic, the secretary general of the Association of Banks of Serbia (UBS), said that the Year of Entrepreneurship was the occasion to focus all attention on small and medium-sized enterprises because although spoken of by everybody, the focus in practice was on large systems which were causing the biggest economic and financial problems.
According to him, the conference and further activities of the International Finance Corporation (IFC) and UBS are focused on providing assistance to small and medium-sized enterprises through new banking services which should make SMEs even more successful so they could make even greater contribution to the economy sector.
