Lecture "FRANCHIZING IN SERBIA", organized by UNESCO department of entrepreneurial studies, will be held on Tuesday, November 13, 2007, at the Faculty of TEchnical Sciences in Novi Sad. Lecturer Goran Sečujski, expert associate at Advanced Business School in Novi Sad, and guest lecturer Miodrag Kušić, regional Manager of REMAX for Serbia and Montenegro, will speak about growth of publicity of franchising in Serbia.
Franchising is a business concept, that is, a model of business expansion, when a public company sells its products/services through vertical cooperation with other company, under its trademark, with constant operative support and control. Procurement of franchise represents a big advantage over starting of new business, because certain initial steps are skipped and mistakes usually made by the beginners in business are avoided.
There are companies in Serbia that developed their own franchising networks, but there are also some domestic companies that entered franchising networks of large world companies. People in Serbia don't know much about this phenomenon, especially about its advantages that can be used for resolving of some of the problems the domestic economy is facing.
