"ČEZ" to build two atomic reactors in Romania - 2.2 billion EUR


Czech power supply giant - ČEZ - won on the international tender for construction of two atomic reactors on Romanian nuclear plant Black Water.
Representative of Czech company explained that it was the project for construction of two new reactors, each of which would have power of 720 MW, on existing Romanian nuclear plant Black Water on the bank of the Danube.
Value of that job is estimated to 2.2 billion EUR.
By the way, in the past few years ČEZ expanded to the market of east Europe by founding large number of companies in the countries of the region, including three companies for distribution of electric power in Romania.
Atomic power plant in Black Water, the only plant of the kind in Romania, was put into operation with one reactor in 1996, while the other was introduced this year.
According to the experts, Romania obtains more than 10% of overall consumption of electric power from the nuclear plant in Black Water.
