India enables citizens of Serbia to obtain electronic visa

The Government of India has enabled the citizens of Serbia to obtain electronic tourist visa (eTV). This decision came into force on Friday (26 February 2016).
The electronic tourist visa serves to simplify the process of obtaining a visa for people going on a short visit to India by saving them time they would otherwise spend on coming to the Embassy to apply for a visa, the Embassy of India in Belgrade announced in a release.
This visa is very convenient because it makes it possible for visa applicants to complete the entire process in a virtual environment - the visa form and all accompanying documents are submitted online, payments are made online, and the outcome of visa application is communicated online.
The validity period of eTV is 30 days, with only one entrance allowed, from the moment the passenger arrives in India.
