Italy supports Serbia in land pollution monitoring

Italian Ministry for environment, land and sea protection and UN Program for environmental protection (UNEP), presented on Thursday night (February 25) at the Embassy of Italy in Belgrade the first national system of mapping and monitoring of land pollution in Serbia in line with the international standards.

The objective was to present the project called support to the Republic of Serbia in implementation of multilateral agreement on environmental protection and commitments of EU through development of land pollution monitoring in industrial zones”.

It is the project of support totaling EUR 370.000 funded by the Italian Ministry for environmental , land and sea protection and is carried out though UNEP together with Global environmental protection fund (GEF).
