Germany's Leoni interested in opening production plant in Kursumlija

Representatives of the German company Leoni toured several facilities in Kursumlija today in a bid to find a suitable one to rent, organize production and employ 1,400 workers in it, Kursumlija Mayor Radoljub Vidic told Beta news agency today.

- Leoni is interested in the facilities of the former factory 7. juli and those of the Kopaonik company, which all have the necessary infrastructure - said Vidic.

He added that Leoni would open a production facility in Kursumlija if the company got incentives from the Serbian government for creating new jobs.

Leoni, a producer of cable installations for cars, employs about 4,000 workers in Prokuplje and Doljevac.
