EBRD bought 33% of potato-processing company from Pestovo near Vučitrn - investment worth 1.9m EUR

European Bank for Rehabilitation and Development has bought one third of stocks of private company from Pestovo near Vučitrn for 1.9m EUR. That is the first investment of that bank in Kosmet ever since the UN Mission was established.

That bank announced that it had bought 33% of stocks of the company, one of small number of "manufacturers, processors and exporters of potato", but it did not reveal the name of the company. According to the announcement, financial investments of that bank will support strengthening of the company and its products as export brand named "VIPA".

The investment will enable procurement of line for processing of frozen potato, planting of potatos on larger areas, construction of new warehouse and procurement of required machines.
