New management in "U.S Steel Serbia" - Richard E. Veitch appointed general manager

Company "U.S. Steel Serbia" in Smederevo announced yesterday (November 6, 2007) that Richard E. Veitch had been appointed new vice president and general manager of that company, while Daniel M. Killeen had become the new general manager for final production in Smederevo.

New vice president and general manager Richard Veitch started career in this American corporation in 1981. He was appointed vice president for production in "U.S Steel Košice" in Slovakia in June 2006, where he was in charge of daily monitoring of production. He moved to Serbia from that position.


Veitch attended "Perd" University in Lafayette, Indiana, where he graduated in 1985 and acquired the title of mechanical engineer. He took his management MA degree in 1992.

Newly appointed general manager for final production, Daniel Killeen, works for that corporation since 1996. In February 2007, he was appointed senior manager of the casting process in one of the forges in the USA.

In 1996, Killeen graduated management from "Robert Morris" University.
