(The plan is to invest EUR 420 m in Tonnies pig farm) Owner of German Tönnies is coming this week to Belgrade and will stay for two days, it was confirmed today to Danas from the sources close to the Government of Serbia.

As the prime minister Aleksandar Vucic announced early this month, Tonnies is coming to Belgrade to discuss with governmental representatives future big investment in farm of pigs in Vojvodina. The Government signed with Tonnies Memorandum of understanding in April last year. However, despite announcements of Vucic and Tonnies that construction of farms where up to 500.000 pigs per year should be grown started last summer – it has not happened yet.

- Clemens Tonnies is coming to Belgrade February 22. We will talk with him and hope to reach an agreement – prime minister said early this month during a dialogue of the German-Serbian initiative for sustainable growth and employment.
