Vietnam inaugurates World's longest gondola lift system - Altitude difference between starting and ending points is 1,410 meters

The world's longest three-rope gondola lift system 6.3 kilometers long has been ceremoniously inaugurated in Vietnam.
With a total length of 6,292.5 meters, this aerial lift has entered the Guinness Book of Records as the longest three-rope gondola lift, but also because of the record altitude difference between the starting and ending points - 1,410 meters.
This lift system connects the valley of the Muong Hoa and Mount Fancipan in the Lao Cai province, about 250 kilometers northwest of the capital city of Hanoi. The gondola lift has a capacity of 2,000 passengers per hour, and each gondola can accommodate up to 35 persons.
It takes 15 minutes to reach the mountain from the valley. Construction of this gondola lift syste commenced November 2013, foreign media reported.
