"Delta City" opened in New Belgrade - similar projects announced in Zagreb, Tirana, Sofia

The largest "shopping mall" in the Balkans - "Delta City", on 85,000 square meters, has been opened in New Belgrade. Vice President of the Government of Serbia, Božidar Đelić, addressed the guests on behalf of the Government and pointed out that that investment was worth attention because "Delta holding" had invested 74m EUR in it and create 1,500 new jobs.
Founder of "Delta holding", Miroslav Mišković, announced opening of another two "shopping malls" in Belgrade, one in Novi Sad and one in Niš. He said that "Delta City" had been constructed in New Belgrade within 18 months and that 52 companies from Serbia had been engaged in its construction.
Mišković announced that "Delta holding" planned opening of "shopping mall" in Podgorica in May 2008, as well as in Banja Luka.
- "Delta holding" is in the middle of negotiations to open "shopping mall" in Zagreb - said Mišković and added that the opening of similar trade centers in Tirana, Skopje, Bucharest and Sofia was in the pipeline.
Among about 2,000 guests were ministers of trade, Predrag Bubalo, and agriculture, Slobodan
Milosavljević, acting mayor of Belgrade, Zoran Alimpić, and many others.
