Aflatoxin in pepper produced by Croatian Safram - Product withdrawn from the market of Bosnia and Herzegovina as well

The Agency for food safety of Bosnia and Herzegovina, informed the public that in hot pepper produced by Safram from Zagreb, quantity of aflatoxin B1 which is not allowed which is why Croatian Ministry of agriculture ordered withdrawal of this product.

The agency from Bosnia and Herzegovina contacted general distributor for products from program Safram for Bosnia and Herzegovina, TP Lukas Nakic in Siroki Brijeg, which is how it found out that they informed importers of that goods and all buyers on emergency removal of pepper from the market.

Responsible inspection on site is doing the check, the Agency for food safety Bosnia and Herzegovina claim and according to current information it was defined that Safram headquartered in Banja Luka, imported questionable product and TP Lukas Nakic distributed it.
