Fujitsu Siemens withdraws 250 000 of its notebooks because lithium batteries in them may overheat and start a fire. On its web site, this company cited all model of “Amilo“ computers that contain aforementioned batteries and announced that all potentially self-inflammable batteries would be exchanged free of charge. The spokesman of company Fujitsu Seimens in Munich did not want to reveal how big damage will the company suffer due to withdrawal of the notebooks from the market. He announced that there had been four cases of batteries overheating and that nobody had been hurt on those occasions.
