A British software company has developed a virtual alarm clock that can be switched off only if the user takes a selfie in the manner requested by the application.

Namely, this alarm clock app requires the phone owner to take a selfie to stop it going off.

For example, this app can ask you to take a selfie mimicking a sad face or snap a picture of an object of the appropriate color. Also, one of the tasks you can pick to do to shut off the alarm is repeating a phrase which requires a little brain power.

- If you dismiss the alarm without completing the task, alarm will go off again in 30 seconds. The only way to shut it off is to do one of the tasks - said people from Oxford Project which stands behind The Mimicker Alarm app.

As they underlined, this app will only be available for Android devices at first, via the Google Play store.
