Factory "Lohr" opened in Bačka Topola

French company "Lohr", one of the leading world companies in field of production of transportation vehicles, opened the factory for production of trailers for transportation of passenger automobiles yesterday (October 25, 2007) in Bačka Topola.

General Manager of "Lohr - Bačka Topola", Andre Balua, pointed out that easier and quicker opening of the factory had been enabled with the support of the Government of Serbia and ambassadors to Serbia and France. The factory now employs 150 workers and another 60 will be hired by the end of the year.

Balua said that the annual production plan was 1,000 specialized transporters and he added that the whole production would be exported to Russian market. He also announced that the production of new product would start in 2008 - trailer for transportation of smaller number of automobiles.

French group "Lohr", which is one of the leading manufacturers of transportation vehicles and systems for transportation of people and goods in the world for four decades, employs more than 2,000 workers and it has factories in USA, China, Mexico, Great Britain, Spain and Turkey.
