Serbia and Korea ink double taxation avoidance agreement

Serbian Finance Minister Dusan Vujovic and Korean Ambassador to Serbia Lee Do-Hun signed Friday an Agreement between the Republic of Serbia and the Republic of Korea on the avoidance of double taxation of income.

Conclusion of this Agreement represents a significant contribution to the improvement of bilateral economic and financial cooperation between Serbia and Korea.

Application of the Agreement is expected to start 1 January 2017, following its adoption by the parliaments of both signatories.

Aside from the one signed with the Republic of Korea, the Republic of Serbia has double taxation avoidance agreements with another 64 countries, 54 of which are already in force, while the remaining 10 are pending confirmation. Serbia expects to sign this agreement with 15 more countries.
