Privatization Agency has decided to introduce order among the spectators of the auction sales of public companies. Not every citizen who wants to witness reforming of Serbian economy will be able to attend these auctions, which has been the practice in the past six years, but only registered buyers with their advisors and registered journalists.

The reason for such measures, exclusion of audience, is prevention of possible disturbance of the sales process. Citizens will be able to watch auctions on their TV sets. That is almost the same as being present at the auction, because the cameras of the public service of Serbia (RTS) will be installed in the auction hall and the broadcast will go live. If RTS' cameras are busy for any reason, the public service of Belgrade - Studio B, will replace them.

- It is true that the Law stipulates that the auctions must be open to public. We've obtained translation from a lawyer that TV cameras and live broadcast by RTS or Studio B are sufficient, and equal right to report from the auctions will be given to all other electronic and printed media - said spokesperson of the PRivatization Agency, Dušan Belanović.
