The Dutch brewer Heineken announced Monday that a large majority of minor shareholders of Pivovarna Lasko had accepted its offer to buy their shares and, thus, increase its ownership stake in the Slovenian brewing company from 43.49 to 96.92%.
Heineken's offer to purchase the shares from minor shareholders under same conditions and at the same price as the shares of banks and funds it acquired last year was open until January 15th and was successful, Heineken said in a release. In that way, its ownership stake is increased to 96.92%, so the takeover of Pivovarna Lasko, which owns two large breweries in Lasko and Ljubljana, is considered successful by the Slovenian Law on Takeovers.
The offer made by Heineken was also accepted by the management of Pivovarna Lasko led by Dusan Zorko as they sell their stakes for EUR 25.56 per share.
