Serbia generates projects totaling EUR 3,5 billion with China - Works on Belgrade-Budapest railroad to start in the second half of the year

(Zorana Mihajlovic) VP of the Government and the minister of construction, traffic and infrastructure, Zorana Mihajlovic, announced today that in the next month, funding model will be agreed with China for construction of the Belgrade-Budapest railroad and continuation of the construction of Corridor 11, Surcin-Obrenovac and Preljina-Pozega.

Before the conference of NIN focus and Serbian Chamber of Commerce, Mihajlovic said - "Serbia is at the new road of silk – How to do business with China successfully” , she said that the total project value Serbia can generate with the country is EUR 3,5 billion.
She said that for Serbia, priority is construction of railroad from Belgrade to Budapest, together with Chinese partner, and it is expected that the works on site will start in the second half of the year.

When it comes to continuation of the construction of Corridor 11, Mihajlovic said she expects the works at the Surcin-Obrenovac section would start in March already.
