December 2015 saw 0,2% deflation in Serbia - Inter-annual level generates inflation of 1,5%

In December, Serbia generated a 2% monthly deflation, while at the inter-annual level inflation totaled 1,5%. Average annual increase of consumer prices in 2015, according to the same source, totaled 1,9%, the Republic Statistical Bureau announced.

When it comes to major groups of products and services per consuming purpose, December saw the highest price fall in transport of 0,9% compared to November then when it comes to food and alcohol beverage , of 0,8%, and furniture, home appliances and flat maintenance of 0,8%.

Price decrease was generated in groups as well: communications by 0,4%, recreation, culture and restaurants and hotels by 0,1%.

On the other hand, price increase has been registered in groups of alcoholic drinks and tobacco 3,2%, clothes and footwear and health by 0,2% and in groups flat, water, electricity, gas and other fuels and education with 0,1%. Prices of other products and services have not changed significantly, it was announced.

Consuming prices indexes are defined as a measure of average retail goods and services prices changes used for personal consumption, it was communicated.
