Revival of South Stream project (im)possible

Srbijagas CEO Dusan Bajatovic stated that the South Stream gas pipeline construction project was still very much alive and topical. - We will soon know when this project officially returns to the spotlight - Bajatovic told the daily Novosti.

He assessed that South Stream was the best and, for southeast Europe, the most favorable gas pipeline, adding that the only risk in that project had been borne by Russians.

Novosti cites Bulgaria`s daily Standard as underlining that Russia should renew the South Stream gas pipeline construction project within the next few weeks. According to Standard`s writing, this was announced by Bulgarian Prime Minister Boyko Borissov.
