Higher prices of diamonds - 99 USD for 1 carat

Future wooers should buy engagement rings as soon as possible because, according to the estimates of the analysts, the price of diamonds could soon rise by 10% and set new record as the result of great demand on the new markets.
James Alen, the analyst of the diamond market of South African group "Allan Hohreiter", said at the conference on diamond exploitation, which was held in Sidney, that the future looked very bright for those who had taken active part in production and sale of those precious stones.
According to the data of "Hohreiter" group, consumers all around the world spent 72 billion USD on diamonds only in 2006. Expectations are that that amount will be even higher this year.
With the expected growth of prices of 10%, the price of one carat could be increased by 9 USD, to 99 USD.
