OFFICIAL: TV subscription totals RSD 150, payable through electricity bill

Fee for RTS and RTV will total RSD 150 and citizens will pay it through electricity bill, it was specified within the Law on temporary definition of payment method for public media service fee which has been adopted today at the Assembly of Serbia.

In the period January 1 until December 31 2016, public media services will partly be funded through the budget of Serbia and partially from the fee which will total RSD 150 and will be paid through the electricity bill.

Funds generated from paid fee at he territory of Serbia, outside Vojvodina will be income of RTS while 70 of funds paid at the territory of Vojvodina will go to RTV and the remaining to RTS

It was also planned that RTS and RTV suppliers, for invoicing and fee payment collection, pay monthly fee totaling 3% out of amounts transferred to RTS and RTV for fee.

Funds have been provided for implementation of the law and it will become effective as of the first day after publication at the Official Gazette so that uninterrupted terms for operations of public service and performing their activity which is in the function of public ineterst would be provided immediately.
