Belgrade Region accounts for 40% of Serbia's GDP

The gross domestic product (GDP) of the Belgrade Region in 2014 was at RSD 1,514 billion, which is 38.7% of Serbia's 2014 GDP that totalled RSD 3,908 billion, the Republic Statistical Office (RSO) announced today.
According to preliminary results of the calculation of regional GDP, the Vojvodina Region's GDP was at RSD 1,070 billion, which accounts for 27.4% of the republic GDP.

The region of Sumadija and Western Serbia, with an economy worth RSD 770 billion, and the region of South and East Serbia, with RSD 551 billion, had a share of 19.7 and 14.1%, respectively, in the GDP of Serbia.

According to RSO's report, last year's regional gross domestic product per capita was at RSD 904,000 in the Belgrade Region (69.4% above the republic average), at RSD 563,000 in the Vojvodina Region (2.7% above the republic average), at RSD 387,000 in the Sumadija and Western Serbia Region (70.7% of the republic average), and at RSD 352,000 in the South and Easte Serbia Region (64.2% of the republic average).
