Trayal inks EUR 5 million contracts to sell products made by its Explosives and Pyrotechnics Factory

The management of Trayal corporation from Krusevac signed Thursday (24 December 2015) five contracts worth about five milion euro with domestic and foreign partners to sell them products made by its Explosives and Pyrotechnics Factory, thus ensuring all production lines will be kept busy next year.

- Last week saw us signing contracts to sell products and employ production lines at both rubber factories, which followed the signing of a contract to sell the products of our protective equipment factory, meaning that we've practically completed the contract signing cycle for the year 2016 and ensured the full employment of all our production facilities - Milos Nenezic, the general manager of Trayal corporation, told the press.

Asked about the privatization of Trayal which is on the list of 17 strategic companies that the state placed under protection from creditors, he said that competent authorities should decide the next week on the merger of Explosives Factory and Protective Equipment Factory to the national defense industry.

Trayal corporation currently employs about 1,160 workers. The company was initially sold to Bulgaria's Brikel in late 2006, but that privatization agreement was terminated in late 2013. According to some earlier information, Trayal's debt is at about EUR 130 million.
