EU provides Serbia with EUR 84,8 m of pre-accession help


The agreement was signed by the minister for the European integrations,
Jadranka Joksimovic and the head at the Joint Staff Directorate for neighboring
policy and negotiations on EU expansion, Catherine Wendt.
In December, 2014, the European Commission, approved EUR 187,1 m to Serbia,
where in June 2015 they signed agreements for funds totaling EUR 102,3 mil EUR.
The remaining funds approved today are planned for projects in the field of governmental
administration reform, competitiveness, energy, internal affairs and
employment.
In line with that, development of youth employment, innovation of SMEs, hazardous emission decrease in block A4 Thermal power plant "Nikola Tesla", strengthening of border and support in alignment with EU regulations will be specified.
Major portion of EUR, 65,6 m will be used in line with the model of indirect management which means that national institutions will conduct program while the Ministry fo Finance will be responsible for procurement, contacting and financial management.
