As of 2016, Valjevska pivara is starting export to Russia and USA

The first Serbian beer which at the same time will be sold at the Russian and American market is Valjevo since as of January Valjevska pivara is starting export in Moscow and Chicago. This state-owned company will deliver to Russia a bottle of half a liter and a bottle of 0,33 l to USA.

- We signed the contact with Baljan product on export of two trucks per month which is 5.000 to 7.000 hectoliters per year. As for Chicago, for their importer Lav import we will deliver one ship container a month for the beginning which fits to one truck. It is a distributor whose owers are the Serbs so our target group is Serbian immigration community in Chicago which addressed us for nostalgia for Serbian beer with Cyrillic name - Aleksandar Rajevac, head of Valjevske pivara, says.

Unlike other breweries which operate at the market of Serbia and which generated within the ast three years a sales fall of 8%, Valjevska pivara, since2013, when it was at the edge of closing after unsuccessful privatization (after which it went to state), has been generating constant growth so it will end this year with produced 100.000 hectoliters of beer, 12% more than last year and 10% higher profit of RSD 600 m.

Valjevska pivara employs 197 employees with an average salary over RSD 40.000.
