Mladen Nenadic - newly-appointed prosecutor for organized criminal

The Assembly of Serbia appointed Mladena Nenadic a new special prosecutor for organized criminal.

In the voting, he won current prosecutor, Miljko Radisavljevic, and received support of 139 parliament members.

Special prosecutor for war crimes was not selected since none of the candidates did not have sufficient number of votes. It has been familiar that the function will not be kept by Vladimir Vukcevic, who is going to retire.

Nenadic was born in 1963 in Cacak. He graduated at the Faculty of Law in Kragujevac in 1987 and passed his judicial exam in 1990. From 1990 to 1995, he was an inspector for decrease of trade criminal in SUP Cacak and then the head of the Department for decrease of trade criminal. He was selected to be a deputy prosecutor at the Municipal public prosecutor’s in Cacak in 1995 and since 1998 until 2003, he was at the position of public prosecutor to the County public prosecutors’ in Cacak.

He was a defender in the processes for organized criminal at the Special court at seven trials. He defended . He defended the accused in the process of customs mafia, money laundering, international trading in arms, as well as one prosecutor accused for receiving kick back.

Candidates who are not at bar functions had to take a special test and lawyer Nenadic, according to the estimation of the Commission of Governmental prosecutors’ Council(DVT), passed the test with maximal score.
