Contract with Lear signed - Incentives for employment for 6 investors more, jobs for 6.000 employees

The Ministry of trade and Lear Corporation signed Friday a contract to grant incentives to the company for the construction of facility for the production of cable beams in Novi Sad, which will generate 2.000 employees with open-end contracts in the next three years.

Lear Corporation will invest at least EUR 14.3 million in fixed assets.

In Serbia, Lear Corporation will be a part of group dealing with electrical and distribution systems for world's leading brands of passenger cars. Over the last three years, Lear Corporation has generated a turnover of USD 17 billion and it has more than 130,000 people.

The Government of Serbia adopted a conclusion to grant incentives for seven new investments, including Lear Corporation which will enable at least 6,042 vacancies, and authorized Trade Minister Zeljko Sertic to sign agreements on incentives.

The investors committed to pay more than EUR 532.1 million worth of gross salaries in the next three years.

Investment projects call for the construction of new facilities and production departments or investing in brownfield locations in Novi Sad, Vranje, Arandjelovac, Prokuplje, Belgrade, Indjija and Nis.

Among the companies that got government incentives are Lear Corporation, Weibo-Group, Banja Komerc Bekament, Leoni WCS, SR Technics Services, IGB AUTOMOTIVE COMP and Aster textile. They operate in the field of production of electric equipment, power supply systems, construction materials, textile, car heaters, aircraft repair and maintenance equipment.
The Serbian government is going to grant EUR 26.5 million in incentives for these seven investments over the next three years.
