State takes over Srbijagas' RSD 23.4 billion debt to NIS

Srbijagas' debt of about RSD 23.4 billion to the Petroleum Industry of Serbia (NIS) will be cleared from the republic budget as stipulated by a law that the Serbian government forwarded to the Parliament for adoption.

According to this draft law on the takeover of Srbijagas' obligations towards NIS and their conversion to Serbia's public debt, the debt will be cleared by 2018, and the plan is to pay 20% of the total debt by the year's end.
