Belgrade sees opening of Korean business center - More investments in 2016

The objective of the Government in 2016 is that Serbia generates EUR 2 billion investments which is what Korean business center will contribute to, the minister of trade, Zeljko Sertic, ha said today. At the opening of the Korean business center in Belgrade, he outlined that it will not be easy in the future and that it is necessary to change habits, institutions and model of economic diplomacy but that he is certain results will be good.

Sertic said that this year, the Government of Serbia provided 20% more direct investments than last year.

- Opening of the Korean business center in Belgrade will be an opportunity to increase the number of investors from the country – the minister of trade estimated and mentioned the example of Korean company - Yura which has four plants in Serbia and is planning to open another one.

Sertic said that today a memorandum of cooperation was signed by the Ministry of trade of Serbia and Korean agency for promotion of trading and export (KOTRA), which will commit institutions to work on international cooperation and better business results.

He announced the Developmental Agency of Serbia will be obliged to implement with Korean business center more investments and that it will do all to bring new companies form Korea to Serbia.
