Today, in Pancevo-based plant for production of mineral fertilizers, Azotara, Amonijak department will start operations after a break of almost a month due to damage at safety valve. This means that entire production will start by the end of the week so the plant will continue working unobtrusively and the employees will return to work full time. Due to break, the plant will lose at least a million euros and annual production will decrease by 20.000 tons.

The employees at Azotara, which have been receiving 70% of salary during these months, will return to their work so that departments would gradually restart. They were on a forced leave and the company gave them higher percentage of salary than defined in the collective bargain.

They expect discount for gas

Management of Azotara is hoping to compensate for losses caused by damage at the department with cheaper gas which they expect they will get from Russia.

The prime minister of Serbia, Aleksandar Vucic said last week that the negotiation on more favorable gas price for MSK from Kikinda and Azotara have been in the final stage.
