The biggest center for agricultural sector in the Balkans opens in Pristina

This month, in Pristina, Business center for agriculture, Balkans Expo-Free Zone whose investor is Turkish company Ahas energy, was promoted. It is one of the biggest steps and most serious investments of Turkey in agriculture as the most prosperous field of Kosovo business.

The center is located in the facility at Pristina and in the circle of 1,5 km around it five biggest shopping malls operate. The facility occupies 6.000 m2 of indoor and 5.000 m2 outdoor space.

Agim Muftiu, project coordinator at Balkans Expo-Free Zone which is also president of the Managing Board at the Foundation of producers and business of Kosovo, BIKOS, outlines that the draft of the project was generated by BIKOS and Turkish Ahas energy in cooperation with the Chamber of Commerce of Kosovo.

Muftiu explains that branch offices of app. 100 companies from Turkey and Balkans countries will be located in the facility and they will launch their products at Kosovo and Balkans market.

The center, project coordinator adds, is designed not only to operate as simple trade but also as a mutual cooperation with Kosovo and Balkans firms.
