Reconstruction of system for transport and disposal of ash in TENT started - investment of 28m EUR

Reconstruction of system for transport and disposal of ash in steam power plant "Nikola Tesla B" (TENT) has commenced yesterday (August 3, 2007) thanks to European Union’s donation in amount of 28m EUR within the scope of the project for improvement of environment protection.

The overhaul started in the presence of the Minister of Mining and Energy, Aleksandar Popović, who pointed out that the power supply facilities in Serbia were obliged to adapt ecological parameters to the legislation of EU and Serbia prior to year 2015.

- Project for reconstruction of system for transport and disposal of ash is related tot that and it isver important because the energy sector is among the most serious polluters of environment - said Popović, who visited steam power plant "Nikola Tesla" together with the EU delegation.
