Memorandum of intentions with Lear signed - Delphi is planning acquisition of plant in Novi Sad

The mayor of Novi Sad, Milos Vucevic, said on Thursday that Memorandum on intentions was signed with American company Lear where the company shows interest in investing in Novi Sad. Vucevic said memorandum is not available for public as it was insisted by the investor but that basically it comprises the interest of Lear to open the plant where at least 2.000 people would be employed.

- I hope by the end of December we will successfully finish negotiations with respect to the contract since there are a few contracts where the support of the Government of Serbia i.e. SIEPA is the most important for the opening of new vacancies and the City of Novi Sad is preparing incentives with respect to industrial working zone and production hall where the company would work – Vucevic said.

Vucevic outlined that for the City of Novi Sad, arrival of American investor, apart from Gazprom Neft i.e. NIS would be important in any, including political sense.
