Niska pivara starts production April 1 - Planned investments of EUR 3,5 m

Head of Niska pivara, Nikola Karanovic, said for Beta agency that it will take plenty of time and money for entire rehabilitation but that everything goes as planned, production of beer and juices should start April 1 while a month later the first products would reach the market.

According to his words, a road to production restart will not be easy at hall since production lines have not worked for three and a half years, there are roof leakages and rust and moist are everywhere.

- At the moment, 26 workers work on rehabilitation and soon ten of them more will join while companies from Germany and Bulgaria will join in production line rehabilitation - Karanovic said.
He outlined that due to dispute whether Niska pivara was legal or no, precious time was lost so that rehabilitation will have to be done during the winter, when the weather is not favorable for this kind of works.

Karanovic added that for technical and functional regularity of Pivara, new owner is ready to pour EUR 2 m and EUR 1,5 m more for raw materials, packaging and distribution chain engagement.
