Postal service of Serbia expects net profit of EUR 30 millon in 2015

Serbia's public postal service Posta Srbije (Post Office of Serbia) expects to achieve better business results in 2015 than one year before, projecting a net profit at nearly EUR 30 million, Mihajlo Jovanovic, the executive director of information technologies, electronic communications and development at Posta Srbije, said today.

According to him, the net profit of Posta Srbije in the first ten months of 2015 has already exceeded the net profit turned in 2014.

Jovanovic also noted that Posta Srbije had started applying the new systematization and organization of business with the aim of boosting the efficiency and achieving better business results.

In the future, Posta Srbije intends to focus on new services, such as FX operations, for the purpose of which 200 new exchange offices have already been opened. In two months, the postal service of Serbia will start offering insurance services, and it will also work on the expansion of the network of post shops and on electronic administration.

As Jovanovic added, Posta Srbije changed the entire information system of the company on October 1st, while new rules on statistics and standards are currently in the making, which is why the model of variable salary calculation is being tested now. The idea is to make 80% of the wage fixed and the remaining 20% proportional to the individual performance in the company.
