Construction of Belgrade-Budapest railroad starts in 2015

Construction of the fast railroad between Serbia and Hungary is starting this year, Chinese Prime Minister, Li Keqiang has said today at the Summit in China. In his addressing at the beginning of the fifth summit of China and CEE countries, Li said that the railroad is a connection which will decrease time for more than a half current time essential to get from Belgrade to Budapest, Blic reports.

Railroad should be completed in two years.

Chinese Prime Minister said that this year China is on the track to achieve targeted economic growth of 7%. Li added that economy is suffering adaptation so that sustainable mid-term growth would be achieved.

Today, as of today Chinese town Suzhou is hosting the summit of China and 16 CEE countries’ leaders , where Aleksandar Vucic, the prime minister of Serbia is participating as well.

The prime minister said for RTS that Summit is a huge opportunity and that Serbia is a country which is signing the biggest number of agreements at the summit in the fields of energy, road and railway infrastructure, agriculture and tourism.

Reuters states that China is exploring options for set up of mutual multilateral financial institution with CEE countries as well as a mutual fund where foreign currencies would be provided in yuans.
