Petar Matijevic acquires 1.500 ha of arable land in Croatia

Serbian business, Petar Matijevic, owner of Meat Industry "Matijevic", acquired two agricultural cooperatives in Croatia on 1.500 ha of agriculture land and thus became the biggest land owner in that state, specialized portal for agriculture Novi Sad-based Agrosmart reports.


With the acquisition of cooperatives Jankovci in Stari Jankovci and Negoslavci at the same place in Vukovar-Srem canton, Matijevic, as he said for that portal, became the first Serbian businessmen who purchased land inCroatia.


Apart from becoming the biggest land owner in Croatia with the purchase of 1.500 ha, Matijevic, as portal reports, is the biggest owner of cultivated fields in Serbia with 27.000 ha.


So far, Serbian capital in Croatia was present in smaller scope then Croatian in Serbia but the ration after the acquisition of Matijevic has significantly changed.
