Lidl plans to invest EUR 40 million in Croatia in 2016

The store chain Lidl Croatia plans to invest EUR 40 million in 2016, EUR 35 million more than it invested this year, Boris Luksic, the chairman of the Lidl Croatia Managing Board, said today.
This year will be better for Lidl than 2014, Luksic told the press, but refused to speak about concrete indicators of business performance.
This discount retailer plans to continue to open new stores in Croatia and is going to open two more by the end of this month, thus increasing the number of stores it operates in that country to a total of 88.
At a press conference, Lidl presented the new chairman of the Managing Board for Croatia, Boris Lozic, who is leaving the position of Sales Manager at Lidl Switzerland to assume the new post in Croatia on December 4th.
Luksic, who has been managing Lidl Croatia for more than two years, is taking up the position of a member of the Kaufland International Managing Board within the Schwarz group.
