Phoenix Industrial and Vel-Var to build production facilities in Novi Becej

(Novi Becej) The municipality of Novi Becej has signed a contract to rent out an undeveloped city building land to companies Phoenix Industrial from Belgrade and Vel-Var from Novi Becej, which plan to build production facilities on that land. The company from Belgrade has been working actively with the company from Novi Becej for over a year now, primarily on machine, welding and similar projects.
Slobodan Glavaski, the CEO of Phoenix Industrial, says that cooperation between the two companies started developing on a higher level, adding that it was concluded that it would be useful to build a facility to serve the purpose of a workshop and assembly plant for various machinery equipment.
Deputy Mayor Matija Kovac specifies that the rent for aforementioned building land for a period of 49 years is at about RSD 2 million. This price is determined pursuant to law and will represent a revenue for the municipality.
- On top of that, new jobs will be created, which will simultaneously contribute to a better economic situation. We are creating better market conditions to bring people back to our town. I would like to use this opportunity to invite all those interested in using municipal land lots in the industrial zone to contact us, submit a letter of intent, so we could implement projects that would contribute to the development of our municipality - says Matija Kovac.
