Privatization of Bar-based Primorka prior to end of 2005, debt of €3m

Executive Director of Food Industry Primorka from Bar, Andro Drecun, announced that that company would be privatized until the end of 2005. He said that none of the workers would be dismissed, although European Agency for Development determined that 140 workers of total of 380 in Primorka should be left without job.
After the privatization, it is expected that the new owner will pay the late salaries to the worker, whereas the excess workers will be paid six salaries each. The debt of Primorka amounts to about €3m. It is related to the debt to Montenegro banka, as well as unpaid salaries.
