Nis-based Leoni opens plant for 1700 people more - German firm pours EUR 21 m in the third production department in Serbia

The plant in Doljevac at Nis occupies 25.000 m2, investment totals more than EUR 21 and the government provided incentive of EUR 10,5 m, i.e. EUR 7.000 per employees. The construction started in August 2013 and in April 2014 and test production.

Leoni has been operating in Serbia in 2009 and was with Draexlmaier among the first investments of German automotive firms. The plant currently has three production departments in Serbia, two in Prokupkje and one in Doljevac at Nis.

So far, Leoni has poured a bit more than EUR 36 m in Serbia and currently has 4.950 employees. Serbia provided EUR 19,25 m for incentive.
