Strike in Lufthansa hits 100.000 passengers

Lufthansa airline announced that due to continued strike of the flight crew it will cancel today 931 flight and that it will hit some 100.000 passengers.

The strike of the Lufthansa strike continued even though the company and UFS trade union announced last night that they are open for agreement.

The strike started on Friday and it was planned to last for seven days. On Monday, trade union refused the offer of Lufthansa, stating that it is only "minimal" but not sufficient progress.

Trade union wants to provide reimbursement for 19.000 members if they retire before deadline within the dispute with respect to agreement with Lufthansa which is trying to cut costs.
